So many happy feels for these Fort Worth plant nursery family photos, because this was the session that started it all! Courtney reached out to me for family photos for her adoption profile book through the incredible kindredand.co and since I’m all about supporting adoption, I didn’t feel good about charging her. So I offered a trade – she could use her super Instagram skills to help me with my new give back wedding planning website merrilly.co and in exchange I could do her multi-day photoshoot for free.

Turns out Courtney killed it with my social media and we fell in love with the idea of us teaming up in the give back world. I also saw that she had a true eye for photography and so I jumped on my chance and invited her to join the GIVE team as my new associate photographer. It’s funny to look back on these photos and realize I had no idea what was coming for us! I am so happy this photoshoot happened and changed both of our lives.
Courtney has since adopted the SWEETEST little baby girl and since I took these photos, I’m pretty sure that baby is half mine. Adoption rocks!
